Ghana’s Vice President rushed to hospital in Accra

Prof. Naana Opoku Agyemang, the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, was rushed to the University of Ghana Medical Center after she suddenly fell ill on Friday after work, according to reports from Ghana.

The 74-year-old will require further medical treatment abroad to ensure she fully recovers and return to office.

She is the first female to occupy the role of a Vice President in Ghana. The former Minister for Education of Ghana is the 8th Vice President of the fourth Republic of Ghana.
