Gambian youngster Yankuba Minteh grabbed a double for Brighton and Hove Albion as the Seagulls hammered Chelsea 3-0 in the English Premier League on Friday.

The 20-year-old, who joined Fabian Hurzeler’s side on a €38.8 million deal from Newcastle United last summer, scored both of his goals from assists by former Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck.

Japanese international Kaoru Mitoma had struck the opening goal in the 27th minute mark at the Amex Stadium before the Gambian came to the party, scoring on the 38th and the 63rd minutes.

Minteh reacted to a rebound effort 7 minutes before the break before scoring from a deflected effort on the 63rd minute mark.

The former Feyenoord player has netted 5 times in 20 league games for the Seagulls this season.
