Former Ghana youth star Essien is DEAD

Peter Essien is a former Ghana youth international

According to a former teammate, the former Ghana Under-17 star had bedridden for some time now before passing on a few days ago in Ghana.

Peter Essien, who a member of Ghana’s Black Starlets squad during the age group of Wakaso Mubarak and Opoku Agyemang, is the player who has been confirmed dead at the age of 41 years.

The one-time promising attacker was a member of the Ghana Under-17 team that won silver at the 2005 Africa Championship in Gambia and played at the Fifa World Cup in Peru.

Essien played as a right winger and flourished at Sekondi Hasaacas and also had spells at Berekum Arsenal and Bechem United.
