An air ambulance carrying six persons on board has crashed into a Philadelphia neighborhood on Saturday just shortly after take off.
The small plane, which has been identified as a Learjet 55, was heading to Springfield-Branson National Airport in Missouri when it crashed down and exploded in flames.
According to sources, the plane was carrying a child who was being treated for a life-threatening medical condition, her mother and four other people.
None of the crew members and the medical staff survived the crash which also killed the child and her mother.
In a statement, Shriners Children’s said the child on board had received care from the Philadelphia hospital and was being taken back to Tijuana, her home country of Mexico, along with her mother, when the crash happened.
