Japan’s Arm Wrestling champions flex muscles in spellbinding contest in Akashi

Japan’s topmost arm wrestling athletes gathered and competed in a white-knuckling contest at the Undisputed Champions Maker Gym on Sunday, April 26, 2026, in Akashi City, Hyogo Precfecture.

Yoshinobu Kanai, nicknamed the Warlord, who has achieved tremendous success in the sport with mind-blowing international victories off the shores of Japan, was present the event.

Contenders from various gyms across Japan gathered to participate in the event.

Current and former Japanese national champions were all present at the event as Japan warms up to host the 2026 World Armwrestling Championship in India.
