English giants Chelsea claimed the 2024/25 UEFA Conference League trophy on Wednesday night after defeating Spanish La Liga side Real Betis 4-1 in the final in Poland.
Betis took a first-half lead with Isco setting up 23-year-old Moroccan Abde Ezzalzouli to score a 9th minute opener.
However, Enzo Maresca’s men staged a strong second-half display to snatch the game from the jaws of the Manuel Pellegrini’s side.
Cole Palmer turned provider twice to help the Blues take a commanding lead with Enzo Fernandez levelling the scoring in the 65th minute before Senegalese Nicholas Jackson connected home a cross 5 minutes later.
Jadon Sancho scored a cracker in the 83rd minute to firmly put the game beyond the opponents.
Ecuadorian Moises Caicedo further sealed the win for the Blues with a powerful low drive in stoppage-time.
Chelsea are now the only European club to win all UEFA competitions.
