Former Nigeria President Muhammadu Buhari has been laid to rest in his family compound in the northwestern town of Daura.
He was laid to rest on Tuesday, three days after dying in the English capital of London, after suffering from blood cancer (leukemia).
He led the West African nation both as a military leader and later returned as a democratic leader.
During his first spell as Head of States of Nigeria as a military leader from December 31, 1983 to August 27, 1985.
He was elected as President of Nigeria in May 2015 and spent two terms on the hot seat before leaving office in May 2023.
