Texas floods death toll rises to 79 with dozens still missing in Kerr County

At least 79 people have been confirmed dead in the Texas flash flood that is still wrecking havoc in the American county of Kerr.

Rescue efforts are still underway with over 27 people still unaccounted for including 10 girls from a summer camp on the Guadalupe river.

Hundreds of searchers and rescuers are still combing Central Texas in bids to find more missing people and attempts to rescue many people who are still lost.

22 of the people who have been dead are yet to be identified including 4 children.

In a latest update, Texas Governor Gregory Wayne Abbott has revealed more rains between the next 24 to 48 hours could worsen the flooding situation in Texas and has cautioned many to take precautionary action.
