Egypt has condemned Israel for their latest attack on Iranian nuclear facilities disregarding the existence of a ceasefire agreement.

Badr Abdelatty, the Egyptian Foreign Affairs Minister, has emphasised the importance of sticking to the current ceasefire agreement to ensure peace within the region.

“We are now working on emphasizing the importance of sustaining the current ceasefire and this requires from us to work quickly on resuming the talks between the Iranian and American sides,” he told reporters in Cairo.

On June 13, Israel carried out the first bombing of Iran’s nuclear facilities, and assassinated top military figures and scientists in a move that has escalated to become the bombing of facilities and killing of many humans in the two countries.

Later, the US also carried out bombing raids. Iran retaliated by firing hundreds of ballistic missiles at Israeli cities, killing dozens.
