At least 110 people have been confirmed dead in Nigeria after torrential rains which led to uncontrollable floods.
This occurred in Central Nigeria and lasted for several hours, according to the Niger State Emergency Management Agency (Nsema), Abullahi Baba-Arah.
Over 50 residential houses and many other properties were submerged in the water and destroyed properties worth several hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Many people have also been left homeless after the floods.
A similar situation occurred in Ghana in West Africa earlier this month with torrential rains destroying many properties though death situations were not confirmed.
