Residents vandalise statue of immediate past Ghana President Akufo-Addo

President Akufo-Addo statue vandalised in the Western region of Ghana

The statue of the immediate past Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo in the at Effia Nkwanta Roundabout in Sekondi, JafriQ Radio can report.

The statue was raised to honour the two-term Ghanaian leader who came in for massive criticism due to what numerous Ghanaian described as insensitive on his part.

In November Akufo-Addo unveiled the statue of himself raised to immortalise him but some local residents expressed anger at the gesture, citing poor state of roads within the enclave where the statue was raised.
