Ghanaian Residents Association in Osaka hold 2024 End of Year party

Members of the Ghanaian Residents Association in Osaka came together to celebrate a successful end to 2024 with a party event in Sakuragawa, Osaka, Japan on Sunday, December 2024.

The association which boosts over 50 members out of an estimated 110 Ghanaians living in Japan’s large port city and commercial center on the Japanese island of Honshu, entertained themselves to a nice treat of assorted Ghanaian cuisines.

Officially known as GRA, the association has been bringing most Ghanaians together, and to maintain their cultural roots and promote growth and development among themselves.

During his speech at the event Benjamin Atuobeng, the chairman of the association, encouraged members to be consistent with their attendance and urged other Ghanaians living in Osaka to join the association. He also updated members on the financial status of the association.

On his part, Godwin Owusu – the deputy chairman, also expressed gratitude to all members and remarked that the importance of the group cannot be underestimated.

Julius Nkansah, who is the treasurer of the group, stressed the importance of maintaining contact with each other and offering support when members face challenges.
