At least 12 people have been confirmed dead and 30 others injured in a suicide attack carried out by a female bomber in the Borno State of Nigeria.
The Borno state has been plagued by a 16-year-long Boko Haram insurgency in which hundreds of lives have been lost in terrorism attacks.
The latest attack happened on Friday night at a fish market in the Borno State, according to a statement released by the Nigerian Police.
According to the Borno state police spokesperson, Nahum Kenneth Daso, a woman with an improvised explosive device strapped to her body, infiltrated a crowd at the fish market before detonating it among civilians.
