Unknown space debris crashes into Kenya village

A yet to be identified space debris weighing up to 1,100 pounds has crashed into the Kenyan village of Mukuku, leaving villagers shocked, the Kenyan Space Agency has confirmed.

Officials from the agency said in a statement that they are investigating fragments of metal which they believe is from a rocket.

Furthermore, the KSA said a metallic ring roughly 8 feet in diameter and weighing some 1,100 pounds, crashed into Mukuku village, in Makueni county, on December 30 at around 3:00 pm local time (1200 GMT).

Other agencies and local authorities joined forces with the KSA to secure and retrieve the debris which is now under close observation and investigation by the KSA.
