Japanese forward Koki Ogawa netted the solitary goal for NEC Nijmegen in the vital 1-0 away victory over PEC Zwolle in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday.

The 27-year-old struck the opener on the 23rd minute mark for NEC who eventually snatched the maximum points at stake.

Ogawa lasted until the 76th minute mark before being replaced by Bryan Linssen. Meanwhile, his countryman Kodai Sano played full throttle for NEC while teenager Kento Shiogai warmed the bench for the visitors.

Ogawa has now scored 7 times and provided one assist in 17 league games for NEC in the 2024/25.
