Japanese winger Shunsuke Mito scored to rescue a point for Sparta Rotterdam in the Dutch Eredivisie on Saturday.

Mito, 22, netted the game’s opening goal on the 52nd minute mark at the Asito Stadium against Heracles Almelo who were the home side for the matchday 18 clash.

The tie ended 1-1 after defender Justin Hoogma snatched a point late in the game for the hosts.

The former Albirex Niigata player has now scored 2 goals in 15 games for Sparta in the 2024/25 season.

Sparta are deep in the drop zone after failing to win a league game since September 2024.
