Nigeria’s Super Eagles B held Ghana’s Black Galaxies to a pulsating 0-0 drawn game at the Accra Sports Stadium in the 2025 African Nations Championship.
It was the first-leg of the two-legged ties which will determine which of the two countries will make appearance at the 8th edition of the competition which will come off in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda next year February.
It was a game that neither side dominated with chances falling sparingly to either side in the contest.
Ghana coach Mas-Ud Dramani named Asante Kotoko’s Albert Amoah in attack while Hearts of Oak shot-stopper Benjamin Asare manned the post for Ghana. Meanwhile, his Nigerian counterpart Daniel Ogunmodede left the experienced 44-year-old Rabiu Ali on the bench.
The reverse fixture is slated for next weekend to determine which side wins the sole ticket available for qualification.
While Ghana and Nigeria were locked in the contest, other African nations were also engaged in qualification games, and below were the results.
