Japan international forward Kaoru Mitoma led the raid for Brighton and Hove Albion who trashed Chelsea 3-0 in the English Premier League on Friday evening.

Mitoma, 27, smashed the opening goal for the Seagulls on the 27th minute mark before playing an influential role for Fabian Hurzeler’s men who scored additional goals in either halves to claim an emphatic win.

The former Kawasaki Frontale player latched on to a long ball from Dutch goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen before cutting inside and unleashing a screamer into the bottom right corner.

20-year-old Gambian attacker Yankuba Minteh registered a brace to cement the points for Brighton who have moved closer to European position.

Mitoma has scored 5 goals in 24 league games this season.
