Ivory Coast defeat Ghana to reach final of 2025 WAFU Zone B

Ghana’s male U20 side, the Black Satellites, threw away a vital lead to succumb to a 2-1 loss to the Ivory Coast in a semi-final clash at the 2025 U20 WAFU tournament in Prampram, Accra.

The Ivory Coast will now face Nigeria in the final as the Young Eagles also secured victory over Niger in the other semifinal contest.

Ghana was the first to score as Benjamin Tsivanyo raced Desmond Offei’s side into a 2nd minute lead at the Prampram Technical Center.

However, the Ivorians staged a commanding display as Abdul Bamba levelled the scoring 10 minutes later before Ali Kone sealed the win for the Young Elephants who sealed a win over their cross border neighbours.
