A Ghanaian Immigration Officer who went missing over five days has been found dead in a suburb of Accra in Ghana.
Steffen Otumfuor Nana Kofi Amoah was reported missing to the Ghana Police Service last week after he reportedly left home to hold a brief meeting with a friend.
His family had filed a missing person’s report at the Taifa Police Station on Friday, July 4, 2025, around 4:30 p.m., after all attempts to reach him by phone failed.
According to his brother known as Akwasi Amoako, his body was found with multiple stab wounds to the chest and neck, and had been partly burnt, allegedly in an attempt to destroy evidence.
The body was believed to have been wrapped in a woolen carpet and dumped along the Abuom-Abokobi road.
The Ghana Police Service have commenced investigations into the murder.
