Ghana booked a place in the semifinals of the 2025 Women’s African Cup of Nations after eliminating North African opponent Algeria.
The Black Queens, who reached the quarterfinals after hammering Tanzania 4-1, will now come face to face with host nation Morocco on Wednesday dawn in Japanese Standard Time.
Ghana managed to eliminate a steel-stubborn Algerian side through a penalty shootout triumph while Morocco did light works of Mali by dispatching them 3-1.
The 21,000-seater Stade Olympique de Rabat will host the duel between the two giants of African football.
In the last five meetings between the two sides, dating back 2020, Morocco has secured 3 wins against Ghana’s 2.
Interestingly, each of the sides has scored 7 goals against the other in those previous clashes.
The first date between the two sides ended in a 3-2 victory for Morocco in March 2020. Meanwhile, the last clash also ended in victory for the North Africans who defeated Ghana 1-0 in February 2025 in an international friendly.
