Young Ghanaian attacker Ernest Nuamah scored a brace to power Olympique Lyon to a resounding 4-0 victory over Romanian side Steaua Bucharesti in the round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League on Thursday night.

The 21-year-old scored in either halves for the 7-time league winners who secured an emphatic 7-1 aggregate win over the opponents from Southeastern Europe.

Nuamah received a killer pass from Georgian Georges Mikautadze. He found himself one-on-one with the opponent goalkeeper before coolly finishing for his 3rd goal in the competition.

The Georgian was on hand again to set up Nuamah as he provided the assist for the former Right to Dream Academy graduate who unleashed a tremendous first-time shot to register the 4th goal on the 88th minute mark.

Lyon reached the semi-finals of the competition in the 2016/17 edition but failed to progress. Les Gones will now face Manchester United in the quarter finals of the competition.
