Japanese defender Ryoya Ogawa grabs consolation in Belgium

Ryoya Ogawa scored for Truiden

Japanese defender Ryoya Ogawa registered the face-saving goal for Sint-Truiden in their 2-1 home reverse against Standard Liege in the Belgian Pro League on Sunday.

Ogawa, 28, raced Truiden into a 2nd minute lead at the Daio Wasabi Stayen however the host couldn’t protect the lead as the visitors levelled the scoring on the 42nd minute.

Dennis Eckert Ayensa struck the winner in the 62nd minute for the Standard Liege.

Rihito Yamamoto, Ryotaro Ito, and Leo Kokubo all started the game for the losers while Hiiro Komori came off the bench to play for the losers.
