Swedish-born Ghanaian Jonah Kusi Asare debuted for Bayern Munich’s first team on Monday night.
Kusi Asare, 17, replaced Joshua Kimmich on the 63rd minute mark during an international club friendly game between the Bavarians and Austrian outfit RB Salzburg.
The highly-rated youngster impressed Vincent Kompany and his technical team after joining from Swedish side AIK Solna and he earned a call up for the friendly clash which ended 6-0 in favour of the German club.
Earlier this season, Kusi-Asare was on the brink of making his first appearance for Bayern having featured as an unused substitute against Heidenheim on Matchday 13 of the 2024/25 Bundesliga season.
The teenager signed a long-term deal with Bayern in February 2024.
He has been capped 8 times and scored fives time for Sweden at the youth level and still eligible to represent Ghana.
Jonah’s Ghanaian father, Jones Kusi-Asare, played professional football in Sweden, Austria and Denmark.
